A New Little Red Riding Hood Story

Everybody knows the story of the Little Red Riding Hood, or at least they think they do. It is about how a sweet little girl encountered an old murderous wolf on a nice Sunday morning when she went to her granny's house to bring the old lady some wine and cake.

Today, I present to you a different story. A story that is told by the wolf, or one of its decedents since the wolf should have already been dead for many years. Anyway, this is what the wolf once said:

"I don't know how this whole big bad wolf thing got started, but it's all wrong. Maybe it's because of our diet. But that is just our nature. Many animals, including the humans eat other animals. The humans always put themselves in such a high morale position! In fact, they are just intruders in these woods. My family has lived here for thousands of years. Our life used to be peaceful... one day was just like the next. But when the humans came, everything changed.

The woodcutters cut down the trees, which are home to many animals, the birds, the squirrels, the bears ... But those animals are lucky compared to others who have been constantly chased by the hunter. The hunter killed much more than he could eat. He sold the animals, or sometimes just their furs, to the outside world. The hunter also brought the meat of those animals to Granny, an old lady who ran a restaurant right in the middle of our woods. Many people would travel great distances to tast exotic animals there. They said she made the most delicious meat pies. All the animals in these woods hate that smell. We all want the humans to go away and give us our home back.
"

Of course, it was not easy for the Wolf or other animals to chase the humans away. Compared to people with weapons, animals are so fragile. Most of them are happy if they can stay away from the humans, and dare not to attack anyone. However, the wolf was dedicated to saving the woods. This was his plan:

“The hunter has a gun and I should stay away from him at all times. The woodcutter also has a gun, but he is safer because he minds his own business as long as no other humans have been attacked. The only people who do not have guns are children and old ladies. There it is, I should make Granny disappear -- once the restaurant is not there, the humans will move to other places. The only problem is that I do not know where exactly Granny's house is and I need to find that out from the other humans.

Now you can find out what happened to the wolf by following one of the links below and watch an animated story. The story is told from the wolf's perspective. So you will be watching the wolf running around in the woods, talking to different people, etc. One thing for sure about the wolf is that he is not very familiar with the areas which are mostly occupied by people. That's why in the story he kept on running force and back on the main road and the humans seemed know some shortcuts.
