I am a research associate professor in computer science at USC Institute for Creative Technologies and USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the director of the Intelligent Human Perception Lab. I am interested in building machines with social and emotional intelligence. My current research focuses on non-verbal behavior understanding, reasoning and generation with applications to health, training and performance assessment. I served as the president for the Association for Advancement of Affective Computing and a member of ACM and a senior member of the IEEE.
