I am a research associate professor in computer science at USC Institute for Creative Technologies and USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the director of the Intelligent Human Perception Lab I am interested in building machines with social and emotional intelligence. My current research focuses on applications of non-verbal behavior sensing in dyadic interactions to support mental health applications and performacne assessment. Together with my team, we work on emotion recogniton, multimodal machine learning and automatic behavior generation for virtual agents. I served as the president for the Association for Advancement of Affective Computing and a member of ACM and a senior member of the IEEE.
